Nutgrove Veterinary Hospital in Dublin is a first opinion and referral veterinary hospital. We have been part of our local community for over 30 years.
We are proud of the close relationship we have built with our clients, many of whom have been friends of our practice since our earliest days. During this time, we have supported them in every aspect of their pets’ health and wellness.
Decisions concerning the health and welfare of each pet entrusted to our care are made by the team here at Nutgrove Veterinary Hospital. This is our team’s commitment to our community and their pets.
Our Story
Founded by UCD Veterinary graduates William Hayden and Tom Mullany, Nutgrove Veterinary Hospital in Dublin first opened its doors on July 1st 1992. Over the following 30 years, we have continued to foster an ethos of excellent and compassionate health care for our patients – an ethos of which we are incredibly proud.
Over the years our hospital has consistently achieved the highest standard of accreditation the Veterinary Council of Ireland can provide, guaranteeing your pet exceptional veterinary care at all times.
Our Practice
Our practice boasts a number of firsts, one of which includes William being one of the first practising Vets in Ireland to be awarded the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Veterinary Radiology while Tom was the first practising vet in Ireland to be awarded the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Veterinary Cardiology.
Nutgrove Vets, was also one of the first practices in the country to offer small animal diagnostic ultrasound services, allowing accurate diagnosis of conditions that could otherwise have been overlooked.
Our Hospital

In 2022 we completed the development of a brand new veterinary hospital in Dublin, investing in state-of-the-art diagnostic technology and in-house laboratory facilities to ensure that your pet can avail of the best treatment options possible.
In addition, we are excited to be able to offer a wide range of referral services, Cardiology, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging (Fluoroscopy, Radiology & Ultrasound ), Endoscopy & Laparoscopy.
